Warehouse Assistant

Warehouse Assistant

Start date: Immediate start date (upon clearance of DBS and referencing)

We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant to work alongside our small, dedicated Warehouse Team. We have a great culture and support and value our staff and customers.

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, problem solving attitude and flexibility for adjusting workload in line with customer demand.

In return, you will receive a salary of £23,167.24 based on a 35-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm. Based in our Warehouse in Newton Abbot.

What does a day in the life of our Warehouse Assistant look like?

  • Undertake daily pick & pack and ensure all fulfilment and alarm stock is dispatched to agreed timescales
  • Processing sales orders from phone/web sales through to dispatch
  • Assist in controlling Personal Alarms stock to agreed processes
  • Shipment of requested alarm stock, ancillaries, and collateral in line with picking notes
  • Cleaning and Booking in of returned Alarms
  • Ensuring stock control processes are adhered to
  • Liaising with Royal Mail and Couriers
  • Alerting line manager of stock issues
  • Maintain high quality of customer service to all clients
  • Maintain cost effectiveness of postage & packing procedures
  • Assist with stock takes to maintain accuracy, identify issues and ensure safe stock levels are maintained
  • Assist Refurbishment team with booking in and cleaning activities to a high standard

Development and Training our people is really important to us, what we can teach we will, however our Warehouse Assistant will need to have the following skills and experience to be able to perform the role:

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office Packages
  • High level of accuracy
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible in approach to targets and workload
  • Self-Motivated
  • Able to lift boxes containing stock items or literature up to 20kg
  • Accurately complete repetitive tasks on a regular basis
  • Ability to prioritise workload/work to deadlines
  • Experience in a Warehouse environment (desirable)
